A local chocolatier needed to transform her crowded, outdated kitchen and bring it up to modern times with new appliances and more space without over pricing the neighborhood or losing the charm of the original house.
The formal living space was a room rarely used so it was transformed into the formal dining allowing the existing formal dining space to be integrated into the kitchen to expand the usable space and give the home a more casual feel. By incorporating high end appliances, concrete counter tops and reusing a large piece of white marble from the original kitchen (seen in the island) the kitchen was given a fresh, updated feel and created the ideal work space for our chocolatier. With the use of white subway tiles and white shaker style cabinets we created a fresh, transitional feel to modernize the kitchen without stepping too far out of the traditional style home. The island was painted a different color to contrast with the rest of the cabinetry therefore making the entire island an accent piece and a stunning focal point.
The end result is an open, spectacular kitchen and a very happy chocolatier.
